Plans for “high-end” shepherd hut glamping pods have been submitted for the Derbyshire countryside to help support a farming business.

The scheme, put forward by Greengage Meadows Limited, would see six “bespoke, high-end” shepherd huts built in a field on the corner of Plaistow Green and Mooredge Road, just north of Crich .

If approved by Amber Valley Borough Council , the plans would create four part-time jobs to help support a “prosperous rural economy”.

It will decide on the plans in the next few months.
