PARMA, Ohio -- Christmastime in Parma means one thing:

The Young Professionals of Parma’s 10 th -annual Holiday Lights Contest is once again teaming up with the city and We Are Parma Proud.

“Tell your friends, family members and neighbors about the contest,” Young Professionals of Parma Marketing Director Jackie Baraona said.

“There are still a lot of folks in the community that have fantastic displays and don’t enter.”

Baraona is not wrong, considering Parma is the state’s seventh largest city and last year’s contest included only roughly 40 entries.

“We were happy with that turnout last year, and we would be happy to meet that number again this year,” she said.

“We’ve received a lot of thanks from past participants.”
