We’re shivering our way through Monday. A cold wind out of the northwest is taking a chunk out of temperatures with wind chills that are sub zero. Over the weekend, Portland was gripped by record cold when temperatures dropped down to just 2 degrees.
This afternoon, it remains cold . Across our region, temperatures are running 15-20 degrees below average.

The cold keeps its grip overnight. Wake up temperatures on Tuesday morning will be even colder than what we felt this morning. Boston will only be a couple degrees above freezing, while north and west of the city, wind chill temperatures will be below zero.
