CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Three people are facing several charges after two deer were illegally harvested in the City of Tonawanda.
According to the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), around 2 a.m. on November 15, they received a call from the City of Tonawanda Police about three people that allegedly had two freshly harvested deer in the bed of their pickup truck.
DEC Police responded to the scene and found a 10-point buck and a doe, which they say, appeared to have been killed with a small-caliber rifle. After investigating the scene, it was determined that the deer were allegedly killed with a .22-caliber rifle from the truck and from the roadway in Tonawanda.
In total, the three individuals received 24 tickets and was charged with Hunting Deer With Rimfire Ammunitio
