STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Scarlett Johansson is opening up about her son’s one-of-a-kind name, and why she refused to tell even close family members before he was born.
During a conversation with Jenna Bush Hager on “ Today ,” Johansson revealed that naming her son Cosmo, 4, was a personal process that she and husband Colin Jost wanted to keep shielded from outside opinions.
“I think unless you like a name, you probably shouldn’t say anything about it,” Johansson said. “Nobody asked you.”
Johansson pointed out that public commentary about names, especially more unconventional ones, has become strangely common.
“Now I feel like the boy names for girls is very popular,” she said, adding, “Who honestly cares? It does not affect your life at all. Nobody asked you.”
That instinct for privacy
