A man turned himself in to authorities in Buffalo on Monday morning in connection with the shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd outside a Midtown Manhattan restaurant last month, according to law enforcement officials.
The man surrendered with his attorney, authorities said. Police have not released the man’s name or announced any charges.
Boyd, 29, was shot in the stomach early on Nov. 16 outside Sei Less, an Asian fusion restaurant near West 38th Street and Seventh Avenue, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny. The bullet lodged in his pulmonary artery.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition. Boyd reportedly checked himself back into the hospital last week, citing ongoing health concerns.
