U.S. 285 was closed in Colorado’s mountains Tuesday morning for a Park County crash, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

As of 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, U.S. 285 was closed in both directions between Colorado 9 in Fairplay and Geneva Creek near Grant, according to CDOT . The crash happened about 16 miles north of Fairplay, officials said .

Information on the cause of the crash, whether anyone was injured and when the highway is expected to reopen was not available.

At that time, a stalled vehicle was also blocking the southbound lanes of U.S. 285 at Packer Road, about 12 miles north of Fairplay, according to CDOT .
