WASHINGTON — Uber is making the ride-sharing service more accessible for travelers this holiday season by introducing a physical kiosk to hail rides.

The ridesharing company announced Tuesday plans to install kiosks at airports, hotels, ports and more in the coming months. The initiative is largely aimed at international visitors arriving in the U.S. without a data plan and will allow them to order rides without the app.

The first kiosk will be available at Terminal C in LaGuardia Airport. It features a touchscreen and a credit card reader attached.

Uber said travelers can walk up to the kiosk, enter their destination and then select their ride type. According to the announcement, the kiosk will print a paper receipt with the trip details.
