Flooding closed some Clark County roads and parks Tuesday as a strong atmospheric river parked over Washington and drenched the region.

The National Weather Service’s flood watch remains in effect through 4 p.m. Thursday.

“This is a pretty significant rain event,” said Treena Jensen, warning coordination meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Portland.

Two Washougal School District buses used snow routes Tuesday after a landslide closed Skye Road in Skamania County. Daybreak Regional Park near Battle Ground was closed Tuesday morning. So were two roadways in Brush Prairie: Northeast 156th Street at Northeast 102nd Avenue and Northeast 112th Avenue north of Northeast 156th Street.
