DEPUTY First Minister Kate Forbes has joined with Labour and Tory MSPs in releasing a statement against assisted dying legislation, with the trio insisting the bill contains "serious flaws".
Forbes joined Labour MSP Michael Marra and Tory MSP Edward Mountain at the Scottish Parliament ahead of the final Stage 3 debate on the Assisted Dying Bill early next year.
The cross-party MSPs said the bill tabled by LibDem MSP Liam McArthur will "jeopardise the rights of disabled people" and risk creating a society where people choose to die because "they can't get support to live".
They claim the bill will undermine efforts to improve equality in Scotland and will "entrench greater injustice" in the nation.
