Two men were rushed to hospital following a serious assault in East Manchester. Police were called to Flint Close in Clayton following reports of the incident involving two men at around 7pm on Tuesday (December 9).

They were found with serious injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing. The M.E.N understands that they were both arrested on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of drugs. Police say this was a 'targeted attack' with no threat to the wider public.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "On 9 December 2025 at around 7pm, officers responded to a serious assault on Flint Close in Clayton.

"Two men in their 20s have been taken to hospital with serious injuries although these were thankfully not life-threatening or life-changing.
