TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Law enforcement has identified the suspect in connection with an officer-involved shooting in November. The incident occurred after 35-year-old Brett Jividen allegedly threatened his son with a gun, according to the Pima Regional Critical Incident Team (PRCIT).

On Nov. 23 just before 8 p.m., officers responded to the 9000 block of East Cooper Street, near Camino Seco and Broadway . Upon arrival, Tucson Police Department officers safely evacuated two children from the residence while Jividen remained inside, barricading himself.

TPD's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team and Hostage Negotiations Unit were called to assist. Despite repeated attempts, negotiators could not establish communication with Jividen.
