A major update has been issued by police after a woman was injured in a horror shooting in Salford. A property on Wally Square was blasted with the gun last Thursday evening (December 4).

Greater Manchester Police said it's suspected a man walked up to the home before shooting the firearm after arriving at the scene with another male on an electric bike.

A woman, aged in her 20s, received a minor injury during the incident. Detectives are continuing their investigations and trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

The force has now confirmed that a third suspect has been arrested in connection with the firearms discharge. A 22-year-old man is now being questioned in custody on suspicion of firearms offences.
