On the seventh day of Brian Walshe’s trial for the alleged murder of his wife, testimony largely focused on blood and DNA evidence with an array of analysts speaking to the collection, testing, and interpretation of samples found on a discarded Tyvek suit, slippers, and hacksaw, and in the couple’s Cohasset home.
Brian Walshe, 50, stands accused of killing Ana Walshe shortly after they rang in the New Year together in 2023, dismembering her body, and disposing of it in several dumpsters across the region.
Ana Walshe’s body has never been found .
State Police crime lab analyst Matthew Sheehan told jurors Tuesday that although blood was found in the Walshe’s basement and on dozen of items in the home, he never used the term “blood spatter” to document his findings.
