Child Under 11 Sexually Abused By Coxsackie Man, Police Say

A Hudson Valley man is accused of sexually abusing a young child.

Troopers in Greene County were contacted Monday, Dec. 8, with a report alleging a man had engaged in sexual contact with a child under the age of 11, according to New York State Police.

Following an investigation, they arrested Thomas Bender, of Coxsackie, on suspicion of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Bender was arraigned in the Town of Coxsackie Court before being remanded to the Greene County jail without bail.
