The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 9:31 p.m. on Wednesday for snow squalls until 10:15 p.m. for Bradford and Susquehanna counties.
"At 9:30 p.m., a snow squall was along a line extending from Georgetown to 6 miles southeast of Lawrenceville and moving east at 30 MPH," explains the weather service.
Locations impacted by the alert include Chemung, Binghamton, Elmira, Vestal, Cortland, Johnson City, Endicott, Southport, Barton and Norwich.
The weather service states, "Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this squall. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to acciden
