WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Australia’s decision to ban social media for kids under 16 years old is prompting conversations in Kansas about whether similar action would benefit young people.

Local licensed psychologist Dr. Molly Allen said kids put stress on themselves to craft social media posts.

“So that can lead to some youngsters like pulling some stunts just to get likes... you know that are really not very well thought through,” Allen said.
