GLENDALE, Ariz. — A West Valley man accused of stealing more than $10,000 worth of high-end golf clubs from Glendale stores was arrested after police said he sold the stolen merchandise online.

Glendale police say the suspect, 31-year-old Connor Burgess, targeted multiple big box stores and even returned to one location to steal additional golf clubs before he was taken into custody. Court documents claim Burgess was previously sentenced to a three-year prison sentence starting in 2021 for stealing close to $3,000 worth of cigarettes from several Valley gas stations.

“That's all he would ever take is just go in there, straight to the merchandise, get the golf clubs, and then walk out,” Officer Moroni Mendez with Glendale Police said.
