CLEVELAND, Ohio — Three men are charged in connection with several carjackings and a car theft in a 21-hour span in downtown Cleveland and West Side neighborhoods.
The group stole a DoorDash driver’s car and carjacked a woman outside a gym, a hotel valet and a man walking down the street, according to federal prosecutors.
Mickey Hodge, 22, of Cleveland, Tayveonn Elliott, 21, of Fairview Park and Tye Campbell, 19, of Cleveland, were charged last week in federal court in Cleveland with carjacking.
The cases were all bound over to a grand jury. All three were ordered held in federal custody while the case is pending.
Campbell’s defense attorney, Henry Hilow, said the case is just beginning and wanted to look at the evidence before commenting. Darin Thompson, who represents Elliott, declin
