A man is facing a life sentence after being convicted today (Wednesday) of the horrific murders of his estranged ex-girlfriend's sister and her three children in a fire.
Sharaz Ali, 40, set alight the home of Bryonie Gawaith in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in August 2024 - resulting in the deaths of the 29 year old, as well as Denisty, nine, Oscar, five, and baby Aubree Birtle, who was just 22-months-old.
He had visited the home to confront Antonia Gawith, Bryonie's sister, who had recently ended their relationship due to his abusive behaviour.
He drenched the hallway in petrol before igniting it.
Ali, from Langbar Avenue, Bradford, West Yorkshire, was today (December 10) found guilty of four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder at Doncaster Crown Court.
