Four friends were 'summoned' by the Taliban's 'morality police' for wearing costumes inspired by the hit TV show Peaky Blinders .

The Afghan men - who said they loved the Birmingham-based BBC drama staring Cillian Murphy - posed in flat caps and three-piece suits in videos posted online.

Their choice of clothing, which was similar to those worn by the Shelby family in the show, saw them ordered to report to the Taliban government's department of vice and virtue, the BBC reports.

According to the Daily Star , under the Taliban's totalitarian regime, clothing styles which conflict with Islamic values were banned.
