INDIANA – The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Lawrence County and the surrounding area, starting with accumulating snow this evening and followed by the coldest temperatures of the season this weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) warned a large portion of central, south-central, and western Indiana of hazardous travel conditions.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 5 p.m. EST this afternoon (Thursday) to 10 a.m. EST Friday.
Snow expected, with total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, and locally higher amounts possible.
The most impactful period for snowfall is expected to be from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
Travel will be difficult due to slippery road conditions, affecting both the Thursday evening and Friday morning
