This morning, The Walt Disney Co. announced a $1 billion content licensing deal with Sora, the OpenAI social platform that allows users to generate and share short videos based on prompts. Users will now be able to generate AI videos featuring characters from Disney's vast library of intellectual property, including Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pixar, and 20th Century Studios. In other words: Disney's AI slop era has begun.
