MDOT provides update on US-127, I-496 projects, announces lane/ramp closures

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Michigan Department of Transportation has an update for drivers on the US-127 corridor.

It comes after the US-127 ramp to westbound I-496 reopened following lane and ramp closures.

All ramps are now open, except for the Kalamazoo Street entrance ramp to southbound US-127.

However, intermittent lane and ramp closures are still planned, MDOT says, including US-127 ramp to I-496 and other northbound and southbound lanes and ramps .

MDOT says some work is now paused, as certain tasks require dry weather and warmer temperatures. This may result in short-term closures until work can resume.

Median barrier work will still take place in the spring with “minor” impacts.
