ALCOA, Tenn. — Some drivers can expect delays, and some homes may be without supply for hours after a water main break on Alcoa Highway near Wheeler Road, according to the city.

The city said the Alcoa Water Department is on-site and will have the right lane of the Northbound side of Alcoa Highway closed starting at Wheeler Road.

"The water will be shut off for repairs for approximately four to six hours," the city said.

The areas affected include homes on Wheeler Road and Manor Way, as well as Cornerstone of Recovery.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this work will cause as we repair the leak," the city said.
