Health professionals highlight that India’s higher education system is facing a growing gap in student mental health support, with campuses struggling to meet rising needs through traditional services alone. Even though young people are comfortable with technology and often prefer digital platforms, there remains an untapped potential for judicious development and implementation of such platforms for integration with mainstream services to strengthen mental health care in colleges and universities.
