KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department announced the arrest of two people involved in the I-14 crash on Dec. 9 .

Investigators say evidence showed the driver, a 20-year-old man, and one of the rear passengers, an 18-year-old girl, switched seats and falsely reported to officers that the female had been driving.

Investigators determined four people were inside the Mustang at the time of the crash.

As part of the investigation, officers verified the actual seating positions of all occupants and confirmed the deception. During the investigation, officers received complaints related to the incident.
