LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - News 10 Sports was at one boys and one girls basketball game on Thursday night.

Haslett girls basketball hosted Mason for a CAAC-Red matchup and the Vikings’ season opener. The Vikings dominated with a 63-18 win. Christina Dixon scored 17 points, and Kaitlyn Johnson had 12. Haslett starts its season 1-0, while Mason falls to 1-1.

Lansing Sexton hosted Portland in a CAAC-White matchup, and the J-Dubbs got their first win of the year, 84-60. Zion Mathis led Sexton with 19 points, and Mario Murray had 14. Tej Virk had 21 points to lead the Raiders. Sexton improved to 1-1, while Portland fell to 2-1.
