AKRON, Ohio — 34-year-old Isaac Armour, the man arrested on charges connected with a woman’s attack in the Summit Metro Parks in August 2024, has now been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich announced the news Friday morning with the following statement:
After reviewing the results of clinical evaluations, the State accepted the findings of multiple medical professionals and experts that the Defendant’s severe mental disease prevented him from appreciating the wrongfulness of his actions at the time of the offense. The court also accepted the findings and ruled that the defendant is not guilty by reason of insanity. He will be committed to a mental health facility and will be subject to court order as a mentally ill person for up to 16.5 ye
