RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Port of Cleveland has approved $55 million in bonds for Belle Oaks Marketplace , the mixed-use development at the site of the former Richmond Town Square Mall in Richmond Heights.
Officials say Belle Oaks Marketplace, the 69.2-acre development of apartments and retail spaces, is expected to bring 1,100 to 1,900 new residents to the city. The project is also projected to create more than 1,400 construction jobs and, once complete, approximately 500 permanent jobs in future stores, restaurants, and businesses.
According to a release from the Port of Cleveland, the approval of bonds for Belle Oaks Marketplace is for two buildings:
