A Regina man has been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a minor earlier this year.
The Regina Police Service said it received a report that Jeffrey (Craig) Salkeld, 64, inappropriately touched a child under the age of 16 in July of this year.
The 64-year-old was arrested on Tuesday and charged with sexual interference and sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, according to a Friday news release from police.
Salkeld made his first appearance Wednesday at Regina provincial court on the charges.
He's expected to make another court appearance on Jan. 5, 2026, a courts spokesperson said.
