At 1:18 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory valid from Sunday 4 a.m. until Monday 4 a.m. for Wayne County.
The weather service states to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations 4 to 7 inches in the most persistent lake snows over the far northeast portion of the county, with 1 to 3 inches elsewhere."
"Travel will be difficult with snow covered roads and poor visibility at times," says the weather service. "Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities."
