LAMOILLE COUNTY, Vt. (WCAX) - A Wolcott man was arrested in an ongoing sexual assault investigation.

Authorities with the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigation Unit said on Friday, they received a report from the Vermont Department of Children and Families about an alleged sexual assault involving Michael Mason, 28, of Wolcott, Vermont. They said the victim is under the age of 19.

The two agencies investigated, and Mason was arrested on one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Minor.

Mason was taken to the Northeast Correctional Facility and is being held without bail. He is set to be arraigned in Lamoille County Superior Court on Monday.
