Police are on the lookout for a robbery suspect who demanded cash from staff at a central Edmonton fast-food restaurant, only to leave with a pizza and dip.
At around 9:25 p.m.on Feb. 20, a man walked into a restaurant in the area of 115 Street and 104 Avenue and waited for customers to leave, police said in a Friday news release.
The man claimed he had a gun in his bag, police said, and demanded cash from restaurant employees. The man attempted to open the cash register but failed. Instead, the suspect settled for a pizza and dip and fled the restaurant on foot.
No injuries were reported.
