SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - We started our day with snow across much of the area. The top report came from the Sioux Gateway Airport where 4.2″ was recorded. There was a nice swath of 2-4″ for many communities while to the south and west, not much snow fell.

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for northern and eastern Siouxland until 10am Sunday morning. In these locations, wind chills as cold as -30° are possible.
Even in communities not under the Cold Weather Advisory, wind chills of -10° to -20° are possible. When it is this cold, frostbite can begin in as little as 30 minutes. Limit your time outdoors as much as possible and wear extra layers during this bitterly cold stretch!
