COLUMBIA — Rain, cold temperatures and winter weather have pushed back the timeline for the Route K and Old Plank Road roundabout project.
The third phase of construction, which includes building the west leg of the roundabout, is now expected to finish on Dec. 26, about three weeks later than its original Dec. 5 target date.
The final phase of the construction project is set to start on Dec. 29 and wrap up in late January.
Crews have completed the concrete for Vermillion Drive and finished the entrance to the Old Plank Road Tavern. Work is now concentrated on paving Route K as conditions allow.
