On Saturday at 9:30 p.m. an updated winter storm warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until Sunday at 1 p.m. for Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.
The weather service adds to prepare for, "Total snow accumulations between 6 and 8 inches."
"Plan on slippery road conditions," states the weather service. "Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh."
