A teenager has lost his life at a lake in Sutton Park in Birmingham. West Midlands Police reported that all emergency services carried out extensive efforts after the boy disappeared in the water at the beauty spot in Sutton Coldfield just after 6pm yesterday (July 10).

The body of the boy was later discovered police said. In a statement, a spokesperson for the force said: "The body of a teenage boy has been recovered from a pool in Sutton Park, Birmingham, this evening.

"West Midlands Police are supporting the family of the boy at this tragic time," reports Birmingham Live . "Extensive efforts by all emergency services were carried out following the boy going missing in the water just after 6pm.
