The future leaders in the sports business spent the week being molded at Samford University.
Current high schoolers attended the Samford MVP Boot Camp , a weeklong program where students were taught by sports industry leaders.
Darin White, executive director of Samford's Center for Sports Analytics, led the camp along with almost two dozen speakers, including former Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo.
"It's been really encouraging and also given me more hope," said James Batchelor, a junior at Providence Classical School. "You know, sometimes you get down on yourself because you know you're like the only one and stuff, but there's so many other people here that want to pursue what you want to pursue and have the same dreams as yourself. That's probably the bi
