GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Hampton man accused of shooting at a trailer as it was passing by faces four felony charges.
55-year-old Scott Wamsley is charged with use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, unlawful discharge of a firearm, terroristic threats and attempted assault.
Court records show a man was driving a truck pulling a trailer west on Highway 34 about 2 miles east of Grand Island on May 17. The man said Wamsley passed him and then brake-checked him. He said Wamsley then pulled off to the side of the road and fired a gun at him as he passed by.
Police said they found two bullet holes in the trailer, and when they arrested Wamsley he admitted to having road rage. Police also found a handgun in his pickup with a spent shell casing on the floor.
