At 10:35 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Huntingdon, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland and Columbia counties.

The weather service says, "Heat index values up to 103 degrees expected for the Susquehanna Valley."

"Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses," says the weather service.
