BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 33-year-old man was sentenced to prison Monday during a hearing at which the father of the woman he killed while driving drunk made an emotional plea for him to learn from the devastating effects of his actions.
Gabriel Coronel received a prison term of seven years and eight months after pleading no contest to charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing injury. He made no comment other than to confirm he agreed to the deal.
