Oprah Winfrey has opened her private road to people in Hawaii amid concerns she was slowing residents from reaching higher ground during a tsunami warning. Tsunami alerts are in place for the entire state, with waves tracked at over five feet high in Kahului, Maui, where the billionaire talk show host is now opening up her land to help people get away from the coast. Speaking to CNN, the media mogul’s representative said, “As soon as we heard the tsunami warnings, we contacted local law enforcement and FEMA to ensure the road was opened. Local law enforcement is currently on site, helping residents through 50 cars at a time to ensure everyone’s safety.
