WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Joe Walsh’s VetsAid concert is coming to Intrust Bank Arena in November.

Walsh made the announcement on Friday. The concert was previously marked for Wichita in May, but no venue was announced. Tickets go on sale on Aug. 8 at 10 a.m.

The concert will happen on Nov. 15 to coincide with Veterans Day weekend and benefit multiple veterans organizations. It is the ninth iteration of the concert.

Walsh is what is referred to in military communities as a Gold Star kid -- his father died in a crash while serving in the Army Air Force between World War II and the Korean War.

Walsh, a guitarist and singer with the Eagles and a Wichita native , typically performs at the show while getting other artists to play for free.
