Assistant Town Manager Peter K. Johnson-Staub began discussions with the Board of Health on Monday, July 28, regarding replacement of the soccer fields at Trotting Park. Johnson-Staub reiterated that no decisions on the future of the park have been made, but said synthetic turf is an option being considered.

The fields in consideration for replacement are the soccer fields, behind the John L. Neill baseball complex. The soccer fields are not involved in the cleanup of the baseball fields that were found to have dangerous components in the soil.
