CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Street takeovers are plaguing Cleveland once again.

Video obtained by 19 News shows hundreds of ATVs and dirt bikes shutting down several streets, including East 185th near I-90, over the weekend.

“This activity is illegal and so dangerous,” says Cleveland Police Chief Dorothy Todd.

Cleveland councilman demands city get tough after witnessing street takeover

Chief Todd says once they were made aware of the street takeovers on Saturday and Sunday, they sent out their takeover detail to try and contain the group.

“The officers again went out. They were breaking up this activity, and last night they did tow some of the ATVs and wrote some citations,” says Chief Todd.
