MINOT, ND (KXNET) — Minot City Manager Harold Stewart will be leaving the position earlier than he had planned after the Minot City Council approved a mutual termination agreement during their regular meeting today.
Assistant City Manager Tom Joyce will fill the position in the interim starting Tuesday, August 5 while the City of Minot searches for a permanent replacement.
KX News reported last month that Stewart resigned to take the City Manager position in Pasco, Washington. He gave the required 60-day notice, and his last day was supposed to be September 19.
Council member Mike Blessum and acting mayor Mark Jantzer said they worked with Stewart to draft a new agreement, which allows Stewart to remain on the payroll until August 23 to wrap up everything he's still working on. Blessum
