CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A popular taproom abruptly closed its South End location this week.

Resident Culture, a brewery located along West Bland Street near South Mint Street, announced its closure on Monday, Aug. 4 .

The Charlotte-based business said the decision to close was not taken lightly.

“With full hearts and deep gratitude, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Resident Culture South End to the public,” a spokesperson wrote on Instagram.

It was not made immediately clear why the taproom decided to close.
