TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Toledo woman says she’s thankful to be alive after a brick shattered her front windshield as she was driving Friday.

She wasn’t the only driver who reported bricks being thrown off the I-475 westbound overpass just before the Douglas exit.

Toledo police arrested two 13-year-olds. They’re accused of throwing bricks at cars.

Police said witnesses in the neighborhood helped officers track down the kids.

“It actually can cause death. I mean, you can kill people by doing this,” said victim Mia Ortega.

Ortega said she was headed home from a doctor’s appointment on 475 westbound.

As she was getting off the Douglas exit when a brick hit the front windshield of her rental car.
