KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Law enforcement agencies across the metro were out in their communities interacting directly with the people they serve on Tuesday.
This is part of National Night Out Against Crime, which is an effort to promote police partnerships in the community.
Kansas City, Kansas, Police Chief Oakman said coming out of a tough week with the loss of Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Elijah Ming, it’s things like this, with the community, that help them through.
“We had a tragic week, and the community was there for us so that we ended the week with a little bit of joy,” Oakman said.
